Year 4

Welcome to the Year 4 Class Page.

We have a fun packed year ahead of us with so many exciting things to learn and memories to make.

This term, we will journey back in time to learn about the Romans. Children will discover what life would have been like as a Roman soldier or citizen and a chance to practise marching drills and chants. We also have a visit planned to Verulamium Museum, St Albans where children will explore real and replica artefacts.

In science, children will study electricity and sound. They will learn how to build simple electrical circuits and how to make scientific observations. With this knowledge, the children will design and create a torch suitable for an archaeological dig in their design and technology lessons.

Children in Holly are taught by Miss Van Komen and will be supported by Mrs Smith.

Children in Maple are taught by Mrs Farmery (Monday to Wednesday) and Miss Goss (Thursday and Friday) and will be supported by Mrs Nash.

PE Lessons will be taught on the following days:

Holly – Wednesday (indoor) and Friday swimming.

Maple - Monday (indoor) and Friday swimming.
