South Hill Primary School

Welcome to our Year 6 page!  We are really looking forward to working with your children as they enter their final year with us here at South Hill.  Year 6 is a special year group and we are very much looking forward to seeing the children reach their enormous potential as we work towards the SATs exams and as they begin their role as the oldest children in the school and as prefects.  They will be taking on the role of prefects where they will be role models around the school and setting a good example for the younger children as well as being a 'Buddy' for the new Reception children.  

 

Mrs Howard will teach Sycamore on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and Mrs Clare will teach the class on a Thursday and Friday.  Miss Liddle will provide TA support throughout the week. Sycamore also have Miss Hamer as a key worker.  Mrs Sisulu will teach Hazel all week and Miss Fawcett will provide TA support throughout the week.  Hazel also has Mrs Jones as a keyworker.

 

Sycamore have PE on a Wednesday and Friday, Hazel have PE on Tuesday and Thursday.  Please ensure children have appropriate PE clothing. During the summer term, selected children are invited to participate in top-up swimming lessons at  the local sport centre.

 

After half term, year six will be being taught by Mrs Toms on a Tuesday afternoon.
