Governors at South Hill
We are very lucky at South Hill School, to have a supportive and caring Governing Body. Their role within the school is to make sure that children get the best possible education and that standards are as high as they can be, by:
-
ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction
-
holding the Headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils
-
overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent
The Governing Body consists of representatives from parents, staff, Hertfordshire County Council and members co-opted by the Governing Body who have the skills required to contribute to the effective governance and success of the school. The Governing Body currently meets four times a year (including at least one per term).
