Welcome to our Year 6 page!  We are really looking forward to working with your children as they enter their final year with us here at South Hill.  Year 6 is a special year group and we are very much looking forward to seeing the children reach their enormous potential as we work towards the SATs exams and as they begin their role as the oldest children in the school and as prefects.  They will be taking on the role of prefects where they will be role models around the school and setting a good example for the younger children as well as being a 'Buddy' for the new Reception children.

Mrs Howard will teach Sycamore on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and Mrs Clare will teach the class on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.  Miss Bates will provide TA support throughout the week. Mrs Sisulu will teach Hazel all week and Miss Fawcett will provide TA support throughout the week.  Hazel also has Mrs Woodgate and Mrs Francis as keyworkers.

Sycamore have PE on a Wednesday and a Friday, Hazel have PE on Monday and Wednesday.  Please ensure children have appropriate PE clothing.  For example, they are learning gymnastics this term so will need to be wearing shorts and not leggings/tights.

In the Autumn term, year six will have Forest School on a Tuesday afternoon.  To ensure your child has a positive experience, it is important that appropriate clothing is provided. A waterproof jacket and trainers or wellies are ideal as these can be worn with the school uniform.
