Welcome to our Year 6 page! We are really looking forward to working with your children as they enter their final year with us here at South Hill. Year 6 is a special year group and we are very much looking forward to seeing the children reach their enormous potential as we work towards the SATs exams and as they begin their role as the oldest children in the school and as prefects. They will be taking on the role of prefects where they will be role models around the school and setting a good example for the younger children as well as being a 'Buddy' for the new Reception children.
Mrs Howard will teach Sycamore on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and Mrs Clare will teach the class on a Thursday and Friday. Mrs Twomey will provide TA support throughout the week. Mr Shane will teach Yew all week with the exception of Thursdays and Fridays when the class will be taught by Mr Burr. Mr Nicholl will be providing TA support throughout the week.
Our creative curriculum focus for this term will be 'World War 2' and we are very much looking forward to immersing the children in learning about this important historical time.
